What it costs
How much does epoxy flooring cost per square foot?
About $5 to $15 per square foot installed, depending on the system: solid color $5–$8, flake $6–$10, metallic $8–$15 and quartz $9–$14. These are estimates; the final price requires a prior evaluation and a quote.
How much does it cost to epoxy a two-car garage?
A standard two-car garage starts at about $2,500. The final number depends on the size, the condition of the concrete, the preparation and repairs, moisture, the system and access.
Why do epoxy quotes vary so much between companies?
Mostly because of preparation. A quote that skips diamond grinding, crack repair or the moisture test is cheaper on paper and fails sooner. Ask every company what they do to the slab before the first coat.
Do you charge for the estimate? How can I pay?
The on-site measurement is free and takes no deposit. We accept cash, check and Zelle.
How long it takes
How long does a garage floor take?
A standard two-car garage is normally done in one working day.
When can I walk on it, and when can I park on it?
You can walk on it the next day. Vehicles usually go back in after 48 to 72 hours, depending on the system, product, temperature and humidity.
How long it lasts
How long do epoxy floors last?
About 10 to 15 years for a well-installed system with proper care and maintenance. It depends on use, traffic, sun exposure, moisture, the condition of the concrete and maintenance.
Do you offer a written warranty?
Warranty available according to the installed system and the terms set in the contract.
Does epoxy yellow in the Florida sun?
Standard epoxy can amber over time under UV light. On surfaces that get sun we finish with a UV-stable topcoat, and for full exterior exposure we choose a system made for it.
How we install it
Can you install over an old, painted or tiled floor?
Old coatings and paint are ground off rather than covered. Over tile it depends on the tile and how well it is bonded; we look at it on site before recommending anything.
What happens if the slab has moisture?
That is the main reason coatings peel, which is why we test the concrete for moisture before any product is mixed. If the slab needs a moisture-mitigating primer or a different system, we say so before we quote.
Which brands do you use?
We work with professional-grade products from manufacturers such as Sika, Tremco/Vulkem, Ardex and Dur-A-Flex. The brand depends on the system, the conditions of the area and the project.
